Comella's

Commela's is home of the family mess. Grandpa's, Fat Joe's, Aunt Issy's, and others. Their official description of Comella's Family Messes is as follows, "A mystery recipe that could have different types of pasta, cheese, sauce, pieces of eggplant, lasagna, stuffed shells all mixed together... The finished mess looks like an accident but tastes great ! We reserve the right to add or subtract ingredients to keep the recipe a mystery."

Comella's is a chain, which is a bit surprising. I didn't know they had 14 locations, the next closest being Wellesley.

The storefront itself was Russ' Lunch. Don't hate me Comella's if I wish you had never showed up, it's not that. I just wish Russ' Lunch had never left.

What to order: Avocado toast

Because they offer it, you millennial! I honestly can't believe that they have avocado toast, I thought that was a made up thing.

Final thoughts on

A great place to order from if you work in the city and ride the train - it's right across the street from the Natick Center MBTA Station.

I've ordered from Comella's when I don't feel like cooking, and I will do it again in the future.
